Welcome

Welcome the International Association of Virtual Organizations and its Virtual Advisory Council. We are a policy advocacy group dedicated to ensuring the progressive evolution of technology towards the betterment of humankind.

The need for a representing voice in this regard is important. Technology often supersedes policy (as was demonstrated repeatedly by Congressional actions over Internet censorship), and it shows no signs of slowing. Builders of our virtual world (i.e., largely the Internet et al.) need proven methodologies; they need advocates; and they need help in shaping policy and precedence.

The purpose of the council, therefore, is to work with individuals, companies, governments, and other similar organizations to ensure the technological foundations of virtual organizations converge with state, local, national, and international governance.

It is vital to address these diverging elements as technology continues to lessen the significance of any and all geographical concepts of physical "boundaries."

The council holds that via using technology and progressive action, almost all people have the capacity to implement virtual organizational methodologies, and through the concept of virtual organizations, they are enabled and empowered to make critical decisions and act further for their futures accordingly.

The council includes invited members from education, business, and non-profits, and we continue to build in accordance with expressed interests and professional backgrounds.
